Are You Laboring Today?
by Dr. Paul Chappell
“For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.”
1 Corinthians 3:9
As you woke up this morning, was it tough to get out of the bed because you were thinking of all that you had to get done? Was it a discouraging thought of office work, computer work, dishes to wash, floors to clean, people to call, and projects to get done? Let’s not get overwhelmed with the “work” and remember the “labor” for the Lord.
What is life all about? What are we to labor for? As you get ready for your day, remember that you are here for a reason. God’s idea of leaving you on this earth until His return is for the purpose of winning souls. We must be laborers in the harvest. The world is lost and desperately needs the Saviour.
When I came to start the work here in
We need you in
I ask you today to be a LABORER in the harvest field of this city, state, country, and world. Don’t be discouraged about the “work” of life that you must accomplish today; be concerned about the labor for souls. Make John 9:4 your prayer today, “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.”
