Consider His Message

Revival Readings for the New Year

by Dr. Paul Chappell

"Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."

John 3:7

Have you ever had to tell someone something so important that you just had to meet with him and give him the message yourself? It was not enough to leave a voicemail or send an email; you had to go to him in person and deliver the message.

This is exactly how God felt about His message of salvation. It was not enough for Him to simply relay the message to someone and have him pass it along. He literally felt the need to come to this earth in person and deliver the most important message mankind would ever hear. This message is found in John 3:7: "Ye must be born again."

In our over-commercialized society, it seems as if everybody wants our attention. It seems as if everyone has a message they want us to hear. Sometimes people get so bombarded with information that they never hear the most important message of all.

Who is it in your life who needs to hear the Gospel message? Ask the Lord to lay some people on your heart to pray for, and then ask Him to give you an opportunity to invite them to church so they can hear the greatest message ever given.

May the Lord grant us a bountiful harvest of souls that trust Him as their personal Saviour as we share this great message of salvation.
